Here are some of our most frequently asked questions on power washing.
For most people, power washing and pressure washing means the same thing. They are interchangeable terms. Â
That said, there is a difference. Â
Power Washing will typically involve heating water before applying it to a surface and when something is being Pressure Washed, a water is bring sprayed at a high pressure (P.S.I.) by a machine to clean the surface.
There is a third term to introduce called Soft Wash. Click here to learn about more about Soft Washing.Â
Soft washing is…
I’ve heard a lot of stories from home owners who have damaged their siding from using too much pressure when pressure washing. If it is done properly, then it should be safe.
For vinyl siding, we have learned that a better way is to soft wash the siding.Â
Soft washing uses a combination of low pressure and professional detergents to clean the siding on your home.
Yes, we clean brick.
We use the Soft Wash method to clean brick. Â

The dirt, grime and organics soak into the concrete because concrete is porous.
Depending on the situation, either a high pressure tip can be used to clean the concrete surface or a concentrated solution along with a surface cleaner can be used to restore your concrete porch, patio, walkway and/or sidewalk.Â
There can be a number of reasons that your gutters overflow, but the solution will generally involve your gutters being cleaned.
There can be something clogging your downspout. This will usually be leaves; however, I’ve seen tennis balls, toys and other items that have clogged the down spout and caused the gutters to over flow when it rains.
Another reason for your overflowing gutters can be an abundance of leaves that are in the gutters and they need to be cleaned out.
One last reason that comes to mind is granule loss. On older roofs, the shingle granules run off and accumulate in the gutters. This accumulation can dam up and prevent the water from flowing across the gutter, resulting in overflowing of the gutter. Â
If your gutters are overflowing, give us a call and we’ll be happy to assist with your interior gutter cleaning.
